With his transparency pruning technique, Dominique Cousin presents an ingenious, plant-friendly pruning method developed by the Norwegian Princess Greta Sturdza (1915–2009). With the Jardin Le Vasterival in Normandy, she created one of the most beautiful woodland gardens in Europe – a vibrant tapestry of tall, medium, and short trees, shrubs, perennials, ground cover, and bulbous plants, interwoven with climbing plants.
Dominique Cousin uses this method daily on woody plants – and Peter Janke also works successfully with this technique in his HORTVS.
