No artistic creation is as vulnerable to nature as the garden. Without constant, loving care, a designed garden or a special collection of plants cannot be preserved. Photographer Sabrina Rothe has captured snapshots of four selected gardens (Fuchsgrube, Mühlheim an der Ruhr; Deichmanns Aue, Bonn; HORTVS, Hilden; Arboretum Park Härle, Bonn) as a visual document and translated them into her own artistic visual language. Gardens are always changing; no two gardens ever look the same at the same time of year. These transient states are captured in this book and preserved for the future.
“A feast for the eyes! Photographer Sabrina Rothe has documented four particularly beautiful gardens for her new book. With great patience, she has captured her subjects in the perfect light, allowing the reader to truly revel in the large, double-page spreads.”

“Browsing the pages becomes a stroll, allowing you to experience the unique character of each park.”
