Cistus – Rockroses

We love these magnificent Mediterranean subshrubs, which start flowering here from mid-May onwards. Flower colour and size vary considerably depending on the species and variety, and their growth habit and size also differ quite a lot. All rockroses are absolute sun-lovers and thrive in well-drained soil, even in the hottest parts of the garden. A light prune immediately after flowering keeps the plants healthy and in shape. We’d be happy to discuss the best variety for your garden together with you at our HORTVS nursery.
